On January 7, Christmas liturgy of the Most Blessed Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius will be held in St. Sofia Cathedral at which Tomos will be presented to believers about autocephaly.

“On the feast of the Nativity of Christ in the ancient shrine of the Ukrainian people, St. Sophia of Kyiv, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, Epiphanius will celebrate Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great. His Bliss will serve the bishops and clergy of the united church,” the press service of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) said on its page on Facebook.

The service will begin on January 7, 2019 at 10.00.
It is noted that the participation of the president of Ukraine, the head of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, people’s deputies of Ukraine, members of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, representatives of Ukrainian intelligentsia, chaplains and volunteers is planned in the common prayer.
The OCU also noted that "despite the planned security measures, during such an important event for all of us, the entrance to St. Sophia of Kyiv and its territory during the liturgy will be limited."
At the same time, all believers will be able to take part in prayer and watch the divine service from the big screen in Sofia Square.
After the liturgy, Tomos will be transferred for public viewing to the refectory church of St. Sophia of Kyiv where everyone will be able to see it any day from 8.00 to 18.00.
