The net profit increased by UAH 51.7 billion compared to 2018.
Naftogaz of Ukraine increased its consolidated profit 5.5 times up to UAH 63.3 billion in 2019, according to the information published on the company’s website.
The company explained growth by the USD 2.9 billion payment made by Russian’s Gazprom following the results of the Stockholm arbitration.
At the same time, net profit from ordinary activities in 2019 decreased 6.1 times – up to UAH 2.58 billion.
After receiving payment from Gazprom, the Ukrainian budget has already received UAH 12.2 billion in income tax and will receive UAH 48.2 billion in dividends for 2019.
“There was a significant reduction in consumption and a continued decline in gas prices in the Q4 of 2019. We expect macroeconomic conditions to remain difficult this year,” Peter Van Drill, financial director of Naftogaz Group said.
