The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the bill No. 6688, which could allow the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to block websites without a corresponding decision from the court.
The authors of the draft law are people’s deputies from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Ivan Vinnyk, Dmytro Tymchuk and Tetiana Chornovol.
According to the legislators, the innovation will allow to counteract to threats to national security in the information sphere.
Note that the deputies propose to equate such threats with «technological terrorism».
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, an adviser to the chairman of the Security Service Ukraine resigned.
