The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities, on the basis of a request from GTS Operator of Ukraine, carried out a number of inspections of natural gas suppliers. This was reported by the press service of the energy regulator on Facebook.
Inspections found out that service customers were transporting and supplying natural gas without timely balancing their balancing portfolio. The regulator noted that these actions of natural gas suppliers led to the creation of a negative imbalance of natural gas in June 2020 in the amount of more than 235 million cubic meters for a total amount of more than UAH 682 million.
Based on the results of inspections, National Commission applied penalties to violators totaling more than UAH 1.5 million.
