The National Guard of Ukraine begins developing a doctrine according to NATO’s principles with assistance of colleagues from the United States and Canada. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on Facebook.

“It is important that the doctrine of the National Guard of Ukraine does not contradict national regulations on defense and security issues and is compatible with the doctrines of the partner countries,” the statement says.

In June 2020, NATO granted Ukraine enhanced capabilities partner status. Ukraine became the sixth such partner of the North Atlantic Alliance, along with Sweden, Finland, Georgia, Australia and Jordan.
