National Bank intends to publish extended data on bank cards of Ukrainians

National Bank plans to publish extended statistics on payment card market in Ukraine in order to increase the transparency of information on trends in the payment market. About this informs Yurliga.

According to the decision of Board of National Bank of August 19th, 2018 No. 526-rsh National Bank will publish expanded data on bank cards of Ukrainians. Now, in an expanded format, they will publish data in the context of: payment systems, customer characteristics, location of the operation. In addition, there will be published data on number of payment terminals with the possibility of contactless payment and e-commerce stores. Expanding the range of publicly available data will provide an opportunity to conduct a more detailed analysis of payment market, its development trends, and also increase transparency of market participants.
It is noted that indicators of the payment card market in first half of this year demonstrated a steady growth in the number and volume of non-cash payments using payment cards of Ukrainian banks.
