185 cutting-edge POS terminals with contactless payment technology has been installed at NSC Olimpiyskiy. This was posted by the Chief commercial officer of Mastercard in Ukraine Valery Novikov on Facebook.
At the NSC Olimpiyskiy, terminals for cashless payment were installed in connection with the Champions League Final. A total of 185 contactless Oshchadbank POS terminals of the new model designed for intensive use will be serving the fans. They are located at 42 points of the food court of the upper and lower tier of the stadium. Fans will be able to pay for food and beverage with payment cards or devices featuring NFC wallets.
«After 4 months of work, we connected NSC Olimpiyskiy to receive cards!!! Just imagine since the stadium was reconstructed, 150 matches were held and up to this point there were no terminals for cashless payments! And this is in the main sports and cultural country’s arena!» – Novikov said.
Note, that the terminals for cashless payments were installed at NSC Olimpiyskiy only six years later after the reconstruction of the main sports arena of Ukraine and one of the largest stadiums in Europe was ended. NSC Olimpiyskiy hosted more than 150 football matches and 10 concerts of Ukrainian and world stars.
As «The Journalist» earlier reported, Shuttles in Kiev will transport football fans of different teams separately so that they will not intersect.
