NBU: Share of non-cash payments in Ukraine was more than 50% in 2019

According to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), over the past 2019 more than half of transactions in Ukraine were non-cash payments.

The regulator noted that the share of non-cash transactions in Ukraine increased from 45.1% to 50.3% during 2019.

Most often, cashless payments were made in retail chains with the share is 42.4%.

The NBU added that there are 68.9 million payment cards now in Ukraine.
