Oleksandr Novikov was appointed the new head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) of Ukraine. This was discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“It was hard to make this decision since this is an extremely important for NACP and Ukraine. After intensive discussions, I think we can disclose the results of our decision. The new head of the NACP became candidate Oleksandr Novikov. The commission rated him as the person who meets the requirements and has the appropriate experience,” Tilman Hoppe, a former Council of Europe expert on anti-corruption said.
Novikov’s candidacy was supported by all six members of the competitive commission.
Novikov has been working as a prosecutor since 2007, and also worked as an investigator for some time. He received one of the highest scores during general skill test, and a high score according to the results of psychological testing.
He worked in the prosecutor’s office of the Sumy Oblast from 2004 to 2012, and continued his activities in one of the PGO’s departments from 2014.
