The Ukrainian film director Oleh Sentsov, who is illegally held in Russia, Oleh Sentsov, was granted the title of honorary citizen of Paris.

This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to France Oleh Shamshur on Twitter.

«The Paris City Council voted to grant Oleh Sentsov the title of honorary citizen of Paris! Thanks to the Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, as well as to all those who supported this decision, for showing solidarity with the Ukrainian director! We continue to mobilize all our afforts in order to release all Ukrainian political prisoners of the Kremlin,» – the diplomat stressed.

As The Journalist reported, writers arranged marathon in support of Sentsov and Kolchenko in Lviv.
