Volodymyr Omelyan, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, said that the development of the Boryspil airport would require about $ 300-500 million, in particular, for the construction of a hotel and a new runway. About this reports RBK-Ukraine.
“In order for the two state airports Boryspil and Lviv to develop steadily, they need to be transferred to a concession and raise additional funds. Therefore, the minimum investment required by Boryspil airport in the short term is about $ 300- $ 500 million,” said Omelyan.
According to him, funds are needed for the construction of a new runway and other infrastructural things, including the hotel “at Boryspil is absent.”
The minister also noted that the state will not have such a resource, therefore it is necessary to attract a private investor with extensive experience.
