Turkish diplomat Yaşar Halit Çevik become head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, the press service of the OSCE informs.
Mr Çevik was presented on May 30 at the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna. The OSCE mission was headed by the former Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ertuğrul Apakan, for five years.
“In the most difficult situations, when immediate security or operational responses were needed, I always felt the guidance of the OSCE Chairmanships, the support of the Secretariat, and the attention and care of the participating States,” said Apakan.
