Over the past weekend, October 26-27, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission recorded an increase in ceasefire violations in the Joint Forces Operation area. This is stated in the OSCE SMM daily report dated October 28.
“In Donetsk region, between the evenings of 25 and 26 October, the Mission recorded more ceasefire violations (including more explosions (about 140) compared with the previous reporting period (about 20),” the statement said.
Between the evenings of 26 and 27 October, the SMM recorded about 140 explosions.
In the Luhansk region, mission representatives recorded fewer ceasefire violations and no explosions.
All ceasefire violations (two shots of small-arms fire) were recorded in areas south of Khorikhove-Donetske (government-controlled, 44 km north-west of Luhansk).
Between the evenings of 26 and 27 October, the SMM recorded more ceasefire violations (including one explosion) in Luhansk region. All ceasefire violations (six shots of small-arms and an undetermined explosion) were recorded at northerly directions of Zolote-5 (Mykhailivka; non-government-controlled, 58 km west of Luhansk).
