OSCE SMM records decrease in shelling in Donbas

A special monitoring mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation (OSCE SMM) recorded a decrease in the number of ceasefire violations in Donbas over the past weekend. This is stated in OSCE SMM report.

According to the SMM, During December 13 – 14, mission observes recorded 245 explosions in Donbas, which is 15 more explosions than in the previous reporting period; however, a decrease in the number of violations of the silence regime was recorded.

“About two-thirds of ceasefire violations, including most of explosions, were recorded at night near Svitlodarsk and Chermalyk,” the report said.

The SMM recorded a decrease in the number of ceasefire violations from the evening of December 14 to the evening of December 15. Observers also recorded a decrease in the number of explosions – 190.

The SMM continues to monitor the situation in three areas of the withdrawal of forces and hardware in the areas of Petrivske, Zolote and Stanytsia Luhanska settlements.
