On the occasion of celebration of Jewish New Year in Uman, Hasidics began to come to Ukraine. Yesterday, on September 4, at Krakovets border crossing point on Polish-Ukrainian border, staff of State Border Service (SBS) registered more than 130 pilgrims. This is reported by Radio Svoboda.
«Also receiving of pilgrims-Hasidics has begun today at border guards of Separate checkpoint Kyiv in capital’s airports. In total, only for these days is expected about 20 flights with about three thousand people on board. The largest groups of pilgrims are expected on Thursday and Friday, on the eve of the holiday itself», State Border Service reported.
It is noted that more than 550 police officers will guarantee security and public order during the pilgrims’ visit to Uman.
From 5 to 14 September in Uman will come thousands of pilgrims to celebrate the Jewish New Year. The main days of celebration this year are 9-11 September.
As previously reported by The Journalist from the flight of the Ukrainian aircraft, Jews were removed, who flew to the grave of Nachman of Breslov.
