The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine will dismiss 218 prosecutors who refused to undergo certification or filed inappropriate applications. This was reported by the press service of the department.

“In total 218 prosecutors of the PGO did not submit a statement of intent to pass certification and to work in the new prosecution bodies. Thus, they independently refused to undergo certification for further transfer to the Office of the Prosecutor General. This also concern prosecutors who, contrary to the law and the certification procedure for prosecutors, have filed applications that do not comply with the established form. They are subject to dismissal in accordance with the law,” the report said.

The PGO reported that 11,277 prosecutors (1082 in the PGO) filed such applications properly.

As The Journalist reported, 96% prosecutors intend to pass certification and work in new prosecutorial bodies.
