In the village of Bogorodichnoye (Sloviansk district, Donetsk Oblast) pyrotechnic units of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, 221 explosive items left over from World War II were seized and than destroyed. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service in the Donetsk region.
In the Donetsk Oblast, there still can be found not only modern ammunition, but also dangerous remnants of past wars.
«Pyrotechnician units seized and destroyed 58 mortar 58-mm shells, 11 mortar 82-mm shells; 1 mortar 120-mm shell; 59 artillery 45-mm shells; 1 artillery 105-mm shell; 4 artillery 76-mm shells; 3 artillery 37-mm shells; four М39 grenades; nineteen F-1 grenades; nine RG-42 grenades; eleven RGD-33 grenades; 26 RPG-42 grenades; 2 rifles grenades; 2 YM-5 anti-tank mines and 11 other explosive items,» – the report says.
As The Journalist reported earlier, the contractor soldier stole ammunition and tanks protection for sale not far from Chernihiv.
