Over the past year, 83 new factories were opened in Ukraine with the support of investors, and over the past 4 years, 238 enterprises were built. This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a meeting of the National Investment Council, which was held as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The President noted that he managed to ensure economic growth at the level of 3.4%, level of inflation below 10% compared to 45% in 2015, the budget deficit is less than 2%.
“During the war, we are the figures of a healthy economy. Thanks to you. Thanks to your trust,” said Petro Poroshenko.
The head of state also stressed that reforms are being carried out in Ukraine, thanks to which investments are increasing and confidence in the country is growing.
“We believe in an open world. We believe in the need to remove barriers to international trade. We believe in the importance of improving the investment climate in Ukraine,” Poroshenko said and recalled that Ukraine had risen another 5 steps in the Doing business ranking.
“We are the only authority that fulfilled 6 memorandums on cooperation with international financial organizations. This has never happened in Ukraine before. Why? Because we keep our word. We are very decisive in reforms, and reforms bring important results,” the head of state emphasized.
