Poklitaru noted that this would be the first repertory ballet on the Ukrainian theme, as UNIAN reports.
According to him, he had read many Ukrainian classics before focusing on Mykola Gogol’s “Vii”.
“Vii” is a fantastic story, with its incredible dynamics, realism, phantasmagoria and those bright images”, the choreographer believes.
It is known that the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine has been involved in recording soundtrack. 82 musicians took part in the recording, with some unique musical instruments used.
According to the video content designer, Olha Nikitina, the scenery will be minimalistic, while 3D-video mapping will be used. The decoration of the play will be quite eclectic.
