President congratulated foreign intelligence officers on professional holiday

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated the personnel and veterans of foreign intelligence on the 100th anniversary of the formation of the first division of Ukrainian foreign intelligence, as well on their professional holiday – the Day of Foreign Intelligence of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

“In that distant period when national foreign intelligence to incipience, the core of which was valor and heroic deeds of emissaries of princely times, Cossack scouts, omnipresent agents of Bohdan Khmelnitsky, as well as patriotism and despair of intelligence agents of the Ukrainian People’s Republic. Nowadays, just as a hundred years ago, Ukraine is defending its independence from Russian aggression. After all, what happened in the years 1917-1921, those "hybrid" methods of conducting the Bolshevik-Ukrainian wars in various forms are manifested in our time," said in a statement.

Poroshenko thanked everyone for the ability to achieve the goal. He also expressed his hope that the professionalism of specialists will contribute to the development of Ukraine.
