Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko has said that one group of people, who are ready to be exchanged, was agreed in Minsk. He said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ukrainian side hopes for the return of the maximum number of prisoners by the New Year.
“So, seven tasks were set by the TCG [Trilateral Contact Group – ed.]. We really counted on to have a more progress on this issue. We have agreed on one group of people, ready to be exchanged, which, in turn, raises the question should we exchange them immediately or to try to finalize the list and swap everyone,” Prystaiko said.
Prystaiko also noted that the OSCE coordinator agreed on a decision to hold a video conference and complete the work on the lists to ensure returning of people to Ukraine by the New Year.
