** «Milove» checkpoint (Lugansk Oblast) has been transferred to the territory under Ukraine’s controll. The speaker of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Oleg Slobodyan, reported this on this on his Facebook page.**

The transferring of the «Milove» checkpoint was done due to the fact that Russia has begun installation a barbed wired fence on its territory on Druzhby Narodiv st.

«Ukrainian checkpoint «Milove» started to accept people on the new location at 8:00 a.m. For a long time, «Milove» checkpoint in the Lugansk Oblast has been operated on the Russian side on Druzhby Narodiv st. in the middle of which lies the state border line in the Milove town. However, after the Russian Federation began engineering work on its side of the road, were created preconditions for provocations against our border guards and possible capture of them as hostages,» – the report said.

Let’s note that the checkpoint «Milove» (Ukraine) – «Chertkovo» (Russia) has been functioning since 1992.
As The Journalist reported earlier, Checkpoint in Donbas resumes work.
