The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky said that the liquidation of the DNR leader Oleksandr Zakharchenko was carried out by the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation.
«On the one hand, the liquidation of Zakharchenko is a predictable event, because all the odious leaders of the so-called LNR and DNR are eliminated. Those who directly took an active part in the events of 2014 and those who can become witnesses in international courts on Russia’s aggression against our state.»
«Indeed, according to the military intelligence of Ukraine, the assassination of Zakharchenko was performed by the FSB. It is crystal clear that they will also try to accuse the Ukrainian side in the terrorist act. But there is reliable information that the «Separ» cafe was under the direct control of the FSB for a long time,» – Skibitsky said this as quoted by the Channel 5 news agency.
Also, according to intelligence, the restaurant was fully «operationally» equipped. The FSB was aware of all the events Zakharchenko hosted at the Cafe.
As The Journalist reported, after Zakharchenko’s death, 19 people disappeared and about 50 were detained in Donetsk.
