The territory of the Bortnychi aeration station will be reduced by 30 hectares after being reconstructed, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reports.
The reconstruction works at the station will start in the fourth quarter of 2019 and will last 6 years. Now the level of deterioration of equipment and buildings of the station is 80%.
«As a result of the Bortnychi aeration station reconstruction project, will appear additional processing lines and the process of sewage treatment and sediment will become deeper; the station itself will become more compact. The area of the main production of station will be reduced to 120 hectares from existing 151 hectares, which will allow increasing the distance from it to Kyiv residential dwellings by about 1 km,» – the report said.
The KCSA recalled that a loan agreement on the reconstruction of the Bortnychi aeration station was signed between the Governments of Japan and Ukraine in June 2015.
Note that Bortnicheskaya wastewater treatment plant in Kyiv is the only sewage treatment plant in the capital and the Oblast.
