From February Lviv pensioners and people with disabilities will travel free on all types of transport

From February, free travel will be introduced in Lviv for senior citizens and 3rd group persons with disabilities.

This decision was made by Executive Committee of Lviv City Council on meeting on January 25th.
It is noted that pensioners will be able to travel for free in trams, trolley buses, buses and minibuses of all forms of ownership, subject to the presentation of a pension certificate.
Also disabled in the entire public transport of Lviv will be able to ride the third group of disabled people (the disabled of the first and second groups had this right before).

“We managed to reach an agreement with private carriers on public bus routes. They agreed to provide free transportation services,” said Deputy Mayor of Lviv Serhiii Babak.
Free travel for retirees will take effect after the publication of the decision, not earlier than February 1.
At the same time, in Lviv the fare in fixed-route taxis from the beginning of February will increase by 2 UAH – up to 7 UAH.
Recall that at present the cost of travel in buses and electric transport in Lviv is 5 UAH.
