From New Year, heating and hot water for Kyiv residents can rise by 23%

Kyiv City State Administration began a public discussion of the increase in tariffs for centralized heating and hot water for Kyivteploenergo customers.
According to a report by Kyivteploenergo, published in Khreshchatyk newspaper, it is proposed to adjust heat generation tariffs in accordance with the revised pricing formula for selling gas for special obligations (PSO).

«The adjustment of heat and power plant tariffs for the production of heat for consumer categories «population» and «religious organizations» is due to the establishment of natural gas prices for all consumer categories from November 1, 2018 in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 867 of October 19, 2018», reads the message.

Thus, it is assumed that from January 1, 2019, heating will rise in price by 22.3% from 1,354.78 to 1,656.67 hryvnia / Gcal for houses with heat meters and from 31.52 to 38.55 hryvnia / sq. m of heated space per month with no counter.
The tariff for the centralized supply of hot water for the population is proposed to be increased by 22.5% – from 80.59 to 98.76 hryvnia / cu. m when connecting a towel to a hot water system and from 74.52 to 91.34 hryvnia / cubic meter without a towel.
The tariff for the supply of hot water for public institutions is proposed to increase by 1% from 98.74 to 99.75 hryvnia / cu. m, for religious organizations by 98.7% from 50 to 99.37 hryvnia / cu. m, for other consumers by 0.8% from 98.65 to 99.4 hryvnia / cu. m
