The former head of the Odesa Oblast State Administration, the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, through his lawyer handed an appeal to the Presidential Administration asking to restore his Ukrainian citizenship. The lawyer of Saakashvili, Ruslan Chernolutskiy, reported on Facebook.

Chernolutskiy noted that he visited the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on May 22 and, as a Saakashvili’s lawyer, filed an appeal to President Zelensky about the restoration of justice and the return of Ukrainian citizenship to Saakashvili.

In his letter, Saakashvili congratulated Zelensky on his election and noted that he was illegally deprived of Ukrainian citizenship. In addition, the letter notes that Saakashvili is ready to return to Ukraine and, in case Zelensky’s refusal to grant him citizenship, he will defend his rights in court personally.

As The Journalist reported, Zelensky had made personnel appointments of his advisers, assistants, and a representative in the Verkhovna Rada.
