SBU blocked the cyber attack on NATO Country Embassy

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) documented the violation of rules for the protection of information and the operation of automated systems by officials of one of the state enterprises of the Ministry of Health. This is reported by the press service of the SBU.
The source informs that these violations led to hackers gaining illegal access to the information and telecommunications systems of the state institution, and the attackers tried to use the hack for cyber attack on foreign representation.
The Ministry of Health decided to dismiss the general director of the above-mentioned state enterprise. He was notified of the suspicion of committing a crime.
Criminal proceeding under Article 363 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of rules on electronic communications and protection of information) was initiated.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, two largest banks in Canada – The Bank of Montreal and The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce subjected to cyber attacks.
