SBU will ensure Ukrenergo’s and Ukrhydroenergo’s cyber security

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) signed a Memorandum with the National power company Ukrenergo and PJSC Ukrhydroenergo to develop an effective system of state cybersecurity.

«The document should ensure the informational exchange between the SBU and strategically important enterprises in the energy sector of Ukraine on cyber threats with the use of the MISP-UA platform. This exchange, in particular technological information on the realized and potential cyberthreats, will take place in real time. Such interdepartmental interaction will contribute to an effective response to cyber attacks, primarily a high degree of complexity,» – the report said.

It should be noted that the MISP-UA platform is widely used all over the world, and also meets the international standards of the EU and NATO; it is used by the main international actors in the field of cyber security FIRST, CIRCL, CiviCERT, NATO NCI Agency.
