Another power unit of the Pridneprovskaya TPP was transferred to gas coal

DTEK Pridneprovskaya Thermal Power Plant (TPP) completed the translation of the unit number 9 on the combustion of coal of gas mark instead of anthracite. This is the third TPP’s unit, which was transferred to gas coal. This is reported by UNIAN news agency.

DTEK Pridneprovskaya TPP staff launched power unit No.9 (150 MW capacity) into the network. This is the third unit of the station, which began to work on Ukrainian fuel. It is noted that the transition took nine months.

«Ukrainian coal is the key to the stable Ukraine’s energy supply. The more the thermal generation will focus on the fuel produced in Ukraine, the greater the positive effect will be for the state and its residents,» said Dmytro Saharuk, the DTEK Energo Director General.

Connection to the power system of unit number 10 is scheduled for December 2018.
Recall that DTEK already converted units No. 7 and No. 8 in 2017.
As The Journalist reported, some areas of the Luhansk Oblast may stay without electricity due to the lack of coal.
