Shmyhal: State Fiscal Service to be liquidated by year end

Ukraine’s government plans to disband the country’s State Fiscal Service by the end of 2020. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal during a press conference in Brussels, Liga.net reports.

Shmygal noted that the liquidation of the SFS is one of the requirements of the European Union for the allocation of the second tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 600 million.

“This is actually a condition for the second tranche. By the end of the year, we must approve the concept of reforming the state tax service,” Shmygal said.

The state body, which will replace the SFS, will be deprived of all powers.
