Ukrainian film director and political prisoner Oleg Sentsov, who was illegally convicted in Russia, was awarded with a high rank in Ukraine.
Kremlin prisoner has become the first winner of the Ukrainian ID Award for his invincible strength in the struggle for the ideals of freedom.
«Ukrainian ID Awards is presented every year to laureates who have made a significant contribution to the development of the economy, the humanization of society and the enhancement of cultural capital», – informs the founder of the award International Economic and Humanitarian Forum UKRAINIAN ID on Facebook page.
The organization notes that any prominent personality in any domain, as well as reputable organizations (except political) can be awarded in five nominations: economy, human security, community, technology, international dialogue.
The award ceremony will take place in Kaniv on July 7. The organizers of the event plan to held a flash mob #FreeSentsov in Ukraine to attract representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora around the world.
