Average pension in Ukraine does not reach $ 100

As of January 1, 2019 in Ukraine, the average pension is UAH 2,645.6, or $ 93. About this reports the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine on its official Facebook page.

Due to the increase in the minimum wage from January 1, 2019 from UAH 3,723 to UAH 4,174, pensions were recalculated. According to Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozhenko, this affected about 2 million pensioners. Now the average pension in the country is 2645.6 hryvnia.
“These are people who are 65 years old and have 35 years of work experience for men, 30 years for women. These people will receive an increase in pension payments of UAH 157 approximately,” Rozhenko said.
From January 1, payments for "military retirees" were added.
The next increase in pensions will take place on March 1. On April 1, the next recalculation of pensions to pensioners who worked after her appointment and increased their insurance experience will take place. On July 1, pensions will be recalculated due to an increase in the subsistence minimum to UAH 1564
Recall that today in Ukraine there are more than 11.47 million pensioners.
