“Six Million Hearts” memorial event held in Ukraine

Mass events in memory of Holocaust victims will be held throughout Ukraine on Monday, January 27. It is reported by the United Jewish Community of Ukraine.

On January 27, will be held Holocaust Remembrance Day – the commemorative ceremonies, mourning rallies, memorial exhibitions and other events in memory of the victims of the Holocaust in different cities of Ukraine. On this day in Ukraine, and around the world, hold commemorative events in the memory of the Jews who were destroyed by the Nazi Holocaust, only because they were Jews.

Commemorative ceremonies are united under the idea called “Six Million Hearts,” in memory of six million Jews killed during the World War Second.

In addition to the main ceremonies and the laying of flowers and stones (according to Jewish tradition) to the memorials, there will be memorable exhibitions, lectures, talks, performances and meetings with people who survived the Holocaust, as well as the righteous who saved them.

As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian delegation does not take part in main events of Holocaust Remembrance Forum.
