American science fiction writer Harlan Ellison has died

The science fiction writer Harlan Allison, mostly known as a writer of novellas and screenplays, has died at the age of 84 in his sleep, – a lawyer and photographer Christina Valada tweeted.

It is noted that Ellison wrote the «Star Trek» episode «City on the Edge of Forever», as well as the screenplay for the movie "I, Robot", based on the famous story of American writer Isaac Asimov.
Allison is known as the author of notable short story collections and novellas, which are awarded. His most famous works are: «Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream», «From the Land of Fear», «The Beast that Shouted Love at the Heart of the World», «A Boy and His Dog».
