National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine decided to provide the coastal defense units in the Azov and Black Seas areas with the latest high-precision missile weapons.
This is reported on the site NSDC following the meeting of the Security Council September 6 in Kyiv.
Report says that « NSDC approved a set of measures aimed at protecting national interests in southern regions, water areas of the Azov and Black Seas».
«It is about strengthening naval presence in the Sea of Azov, creating there a naval-cut grouping of Navy of Armed Forces of Ukraine, developing appropriate infrastructure, providing coastal defense units with latest high-precision missile weapons, etc», – as it is noted in solution.
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was also instructed to urgently adopt Maritime Doctrine of Ukraine and improve the regulatory and legal framework for protecting national interests in waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
As The Journalist reported Poroshenko at the UN General Assembly will make loud statements during the speech.
