According to the government decree, the minimum wholesale selling vodka prices were increased by 19.5% (by UAH 52.33) per 1 liter of pure alcohol, retail prices by 12.4 (by UAH 49.24). It is noted that the increase of the minimum price for alcohol is associated with an increase in the cost of the components, in particular the prices for alcohol, packaging and production. The next rise in the price of alcohol is expected from January 1, 2019, when excise taxes will be increased by 9%.
As The Journalist reported, the Ukrainian Parliament proposed to set an excise tax on electronic cigarettes.
