TOP-3 regions of Ukraine with the most expensive food are named

Last year, experts identified the top three Ukrainian cities and regions with the most expensive food. Leadership belongs to Kyiv, Donetsk and Zakarpattia.

“Analysis of official statistics for the last month of autumn showed that Kyiv, Donetsk and Zakarpattia regions have the highest cost of social food products,” said Oleksiy Doroshenko, director of the Association of Suppliers of Retail Networks, on his [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/photo.php? fbid =2262756183939045 & set = a.1618924811655522 & type = 3 & theater).

The expert noted that this difference is due to higher incomes of Ukrainians living, for example, in the Donetsk region and in Kyiv.

“Therefore, the high price is due to a higher level of solvency. In Kyiv, the average wage in November amounted to almost 13 thousand 900 UAH, in the Donetsk region – almost 10 thousand UAH, and in Zakarpattia- 8 thousand 400 UAH. The average salary in the country in the last autumn month was UAH 9160,” concluded Doroshenko.
