Employees of the bank stole from the cards of settlers half a million UAH

In the Dnepropetrovsk region, law enforcement officers exposed the heads of the branch of one of the state banks of Ukraine, which appropriated half a million hryvnas of the clients of the institution. It is reported by press service of the Regional Head-Office of the National Police.

The acting manager of the bank’s department and her subordinate worked out an illegal mechanism, during which the attackers «used» not yet issued cards of their settlers clients. Employees of the bank independently installed PIN-codes and withdrew money through ATMs. In case the bank’s clients applied for the loss of money from the account, officials issued cash, which they withdrew from any other card account of the bank’s customers. Law enforcers found that the intruders managed to assign more than half a million hryvnas. Investigation actions continue.
