Documentary «War of Chimeras» was shown on Ukrainian television. This was reported in The Journalist studio by its creators Mariia and Anastasiia Starozhitski. Guests also told what the film is about and how its future has developed.
«In our documentary film «The War of Chimeras», we tell, among other things, about events that took place in Ilovaisk: shooting of the «green-corridor» column on August 29, 2014 is a turning point for our character and his co-volunteers who pass this test» , – explained director Mariia Starozhitska.
«Film «War of Chimeras» exactly now, when four years have passed since events, is especially interesting: we see that many people who have been with us all these years who also went through these events that greatly changed their lives, there is a comprehension of the ongoing war and reaching a new level», co-author of film Anastasiia Starozhitska stressed.
Also, guests of The Journalist’s studio talked about how Ukrainian society lives in war, how citizens perceive this problem and how they think people are ready to help each other in combat conditions.
«Some part of the country lives as if there is no war. At the same time, there are people who are worried about war, those who are sufficiently united and interested in completing those changes in country that were launched on Maidan. It is very important. Abroad there is no deep understanding of what kind of war we are in here, who is fighting, against whom we are fighting, that’s why we want our film to be seen in other countries. We are working on this. Maybe there will be those who help us in this», – said Mariia Starozhitska.
