Hollywood stars are actively boycotting hotels owned by Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah.

It is reported by The New York Times.

The reason for this was the recently published law in Sultanate: now in Brunei for homosexual relations people will be punishable by death. The first to join the boycott were actor George Clooney, singer Elton John and TV-presenter Ellen DeGeneres, who does not hide her homosexuality.

Star tweets with lists of hotels to boycott actively retweeted in social media.

There are about a dozen luxury hotels around the world that are the property of Brunei’s monarch.

As the Journalist reported “Volcano” movie premiere took place in Kyiv.
