The Indian army received its own Arjun Mk 1A battle tank. The mass of the combat vehicle is 68 tons, which makes it one of the heaviest tanks in the world, the Indian Express reported.
The Indian Armed Forces have already ordered 118 units of this modification of the tank. The Mk-1A version has received 71 improvements over the earlier version.
The tank has modified 120mm cannon to use new types of ammunition. Shells now placed in individually protected containers.
The Arjun Mk 1A is equipped with Indian-made reactive armor and improved composite armor. The panoramic sights of the commander and gunner have also been improved with the introduction of an automatic target tracking system.
