The State Statistics of Ukraine registered 10,724,800 of economically inactive persons last year.
The reasons for the economic inactivity of Ukrainians characterized by the following factors: people do not know where and how to search for work (0.1% of unemployed persons), despaired (0.6%), believe that there is no suitable job (0.5%), cannot work due to health condition (1%), perform household duties, are on kept (20.9%), hoping to return to their previous job (0.2%), retired (54.7%).
According to the UNN, the economically inactive population in Ukraine decreased by 221,000 people over the past year.
As The Journalist reported, more than half of the metropolitan unemployed people has higher education.
