The Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov has said that the Ministry of Health will carry out co-financing of medical institutions, which experienced a shortage of funds as a result of the second stage of the medical reform. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
“We are introducing the so-called anti-crisis package to the medical institutions, which received less funding from the state budget than on the previous year, as a result of the second stage of the reform; they will be funded to the level of last year. This decision has already entered into force. All financing will start from July 1 until the end of 2020,” Stepanov said.
He added that currently the National Health Service is concluding agreements with the relevant institutions.
“We will save our medical facilities, as promised, including by the President and me,” Stepanov said.
According to him, 332 health institutions in Ukraine were on the verge of existence. After miscalculations by the previous leadership of the Ministry of Health, when planning the 2nd stage of the medical reform, which started on April 1, health institutions experienced more than 50% deficit of state financing.
