Acting Minister of Health Ulana Suprun reported on her Facebook, that most drugs are free for patients who are on treatment in hospitals.

«There are medicines! I want everyone to hear this. After all, not everyone knows that they do not have to pay for most drugs that are prescribed for in-patient treatment. We have implemented the National List of Medicines – a list of medicines that hospitals must procure. Patients can receive them for free, because the state buys them at the expense of taxpayers. This list includes 427 safe and really working substances from all common diseases – these are several thousand medicines from various manufacturers. Patients who are treated in a hospital will get medicines for free. Hospitals must purchase them 100%,» – Suprun emphasized.

The Ministry of Health also informed that the medical institution should place such a list of free medicines on information stands, and the regional departments and departments – on its official websites.

Whether there are medicines prescribed to the patient in the National List, you can also check using the Medicines control mobile app.

As The Journalist reported earlier, Suprun stated that it was inappropriate to swaddling children during the hot weather.
