Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine Ulyana Suprun stated that the widespread use of shoe covers in Ukrainian medical institutions is not a necessary norm. The chief medical officer of the country wrote this on her Facebook page.

As she claims the use of shoe covers is required only in the operating room.
In addition, according to Suprun, in developed countries patients do not use shoe covers when they wait for a doctor or when they meet with their relatives.

«There are no regulations in Ukraine that require patients and visitors to wear shoe covers in all hospital rooms», the head of the agency stressed.

Earlier «Journalist» reported that Suprun told Ukrainians what to do if they touched the hot iron.
