In Kyiv, not far from Goloseevskiy Park, the city authorities intend to turn into an archaeological park “Kytaevske Gorodyshche and Barrow Cemetery”. This reported on the official portal of Kyiv.
The Department of Cultural Heritage has said that places like Kytaevo should not be built on. In this area it is planned to create an archaeological park, which would include permanent excavations, museification, partial reconstruction and general improvement of the territory.
The report notes that the accounting documentation for expanding the boundaries of the monument has already been developed. After the developer completes it, he will go to the Ministry of Culture for consideration, which will grant the status of a monument, in the absence of comments on the design of the card, which will set the boundaries.
It is known that in the territory of Kytaevo there are remains of an ancient city, barrows, caves and a monastery. They are listed as archeological monuments.
