The grand premiere of the film “1944” will take place in the capital

The film company Fresh Production Group and the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine announce the screening of the documentary feature film “1944”. The solemn premiere of the movie will be held on May 17. The event is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people.
In the film, the story of the deportation is told by people who have experienced it directly. They share their memories of the days of deportation, of the first years in exile, when people died of hunger and disease in thousands, and how they themselves managed to survive in these inhuman conditions. As a result of ethnic cleansing, more than 191 thousand Crimean Tatars were deported. These events led to the violent death of 46% of the people.
The premiere will be held in Kyiv in the gallery “D12”, admission is free.
Earlier, the “Journalist” reported that in the film about the last years of his life, Vasyl Stus would be shown a scandalous scene with the participation of Medvedchuk.
