“There are no tendencies to improve the military-political situation, as the Russian Federation continues to build up military groups near the borders of Ukraine. Under these conditions, the main task of Ukraine is to increase the capabilities of the Armed Forces and strengthen the defense through the introduction of defense reform. The Parliament of Ukraine approved amendments to the Constitution, which secured the country’s course towards integration into the European Union and NATO. We are counting on system solutions from our partners in support of Ukraine’s entry into NATO. Having five years of experience in repulsing armed aggression, Ukraine can make a significant contribution to the defense capability of NATO and strengthening European security, ” said Stepan Poltorak.
