On May 22, a solemn consecration of the tower carillon will take place on the bell tower of the Church of St. Nicholas at Askold’s grave.

This is reported by the Facebook page of the KSCA.

This year the construction of a tower carillon is completed, which has 51 bells cast in the Netherlands.

“The bells are intended to become part of the National Memorial Memorial, which honors the students of the Krut heroes. Solemn consecration will take place on the eve of the City Day celebration, on May 26, therefore the establishment of carillons is conceptual. By order of the mayor, Vitalii Klitschko, it was decided to allow the burial at the Askold tomb of the Hero of Heavenly Hundred Oleksandr Klitinskiy and the deceased warrior Mark Paslavskiy, whose memory will be marked by the ring of carillons,” the page says.

From now on, every Sunday, at 14 o’clock, the people of Kiev will be able to hear the melodies “Kyeve miy”, “Plive Kacha”, “Bozhe edynyi” and others, made with the help of carillons.

On May 26 a concert will be held dedicated to the consecration of the established carillons.
